Through a partnership with the Trust for the Americas and a program called Empowering Innovative Entrepreneurship, AES provides seed funding and free training to Puerto Rican entrepreneurs. This program aims to strengthen their existing businesses and promote the creation of new ones that contribute to the sustainable socioeconomic development of communities in the southern region of the island. These are some of the Puerto Rican entrepreneurs that AES has supported.

Taina Meléndez of C&A Tropical Green started a hydroponic lettuce growing project and used the funds to improve her product and increase production.

Carmen Ivette Lebrón:
Founder of Ivy’s Catering

Carmen Ivette Lebrón is the founder of Ivy’s Catering, focused on event catering and food preparation.

Gisela Cabrera:
Founder of MIJO Moda Infantil

Gisela Cabrera launched MIJO, a children’s fashion company with a firm awareness of Puerto Rico’s cultural, social and historical values.
